Whether your skin is sensitive or not, you'll benefit from using a soap that is handmade using unprocessed goats' milk fresh from the farm. Our soap-making process ensures that the natural glycerin formed during the process is retained. Glycerin helps to retain moisture in the skin and also contains a number of vitamins and minerals.

Made in small batches
At Waterford Soaps we make handcrafted goats milk soap in bars the old fashioned way – in small batches with the maximum percentage of goats' milk and without harsh chemical additives that many other bar soaps have. In fact, we do everything from hand milking our Lamancha dairy goats twice a day to making and molding the soaps; ensuring a pure, high quality product for your skin that you most likely won't find at Target, Wal-Mart or your neighborhood grocery or drugstore.

The soaps are sold in bars for $6.00 and come in scented and unscented varieties.

How it all started
Not long ago we purchased a small herd of Lamancha dairy goats for our five-acre hobby farm in Waterford Township near Northfield, Minnesota as a 4-H project for our four children. We fell in love with their gentle demeanor, inquisitiveness and the milking process, which our children also enjoyed.

Soon I was doing research and reading books on how to make handcrafted goats milk soap. After several months of trial and error learning, I began giving samples away to family and friends, who tried various recipes and scents and provided feedback. Shortly thereafter, the news began to spread, the orders started to come in and I was in the handcrafted soap business! While I intend to grow the business, I plan to keep it a small operation so that I can produce the soap by hand in small batches.
